About
Built by a trader who wanted the number to be true.
Why we exist
For the trader who cannot afford to learn the expensive way.
Most people who try trading are sold hope by an industry that profits whether they win or lose — courses, signal services, backtests nobody can reproduce. The people who can least absorb a loss are the ones that industry reaches first.
ConnectQ exists for the trader with a small account. We charge for proof, not promises. We make you test before you risk. We give a modest account the same rigor a fund gets, and we never suggest trading bigger. If the honest answer is “this does not work”, we want you to hear it from us before the market tells you.
That is what the mark on every page means. The Q is a question put to every idea; the words under it are the whole company in five: prove it before you trade it.
How it started
ConnectQ started as one trader’s private toolchain: a NinjaTrader research strategy with a large signal panel, a Python engine to test ideas quickly, and a growing list of lessons about how backtests lie. The turning point was discovering that two ordinary engine shortcuts — filling on the signal bar, managing on the fill bar — had fabricated every winning variation of an entire family of setups. Fixing them changed every verdict.
The response was a method rather than a product: honest fills as a rule, a holdout that cannot be skipped, and a parity procedure that reconciles the engine against NinjaTrader playback to the dollar before anything is allowed to trade. ConnectQ is that method, packaged so other traders can use it on their own ideas.
What we believe
- A strategy you cannot reproduce is a story, not a strategy.
- The test should be able to say no. Most tools are built so it never does.
- What executes must be what was tested. Approximation is a bug.
- Small and real beats large and vague: a capped launch, per-use pricing, no lump sums.
- A small account deserves the same rigor as a large one — and never a nudge to trade bigger.
